Reconciliation in Fortnox, with approval
A browser extension that proposes how the bank's transactions are booked in Fortnox, by rules. Nothing is booked until a person approves it.
In use at Digitalo Ekonomi for its clients' bookkeeping.
The problem
When payments are booked by hand, the same kind of payment sometimes lands on different accounts. It depends on who books it, and when.
That makes the books harder to follow, and the month-end reconciliation heavier.
How it works
- Step 1The extension reads the bank transactions on the page in Fortnox.
- Step 2Rules on text, direction and amount propose accounts.
- Step 3A person approves. Anything that matches no rule is never booked.
- Step 4The voucher is saved, and the same transaction cannot be booked twice.
What gets better
The same rule every time
The same kind of payment is booked the same way, whoever books it.
Nothing silent
The extension never books without approval.
Ready for month-end
The reconciliation per account can be attached when the month closes.
Invoices read on the computer
Nothing is sent on to another service.

The idea behind it
The same thing should be booked the same way every time, and the reconciliation should be done when the month ends. How the firm uses it (in Swedish)
